Equipment

The equipment of the Research Laboratory was procured through European funded Research Projects (the Department as a lead partner has achieved funding of over 2 million euros during the last five years and as a partner, 250 thousand euros) and / or approved equipment funding proposals (eg. Regional Operational Programme) without affecting the budget of the University Lab equipment include:

Computing systems (high processing capacity computers (four),
Servers (2), power laptops (3), uninterrupted ,
uninterrupted power supply systems
A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) with a 270MHz antenna,
A fixed-wing UAV capable of real-time positioning and recording (RTK) with a visible light sensor and a multispectral sensor;
A quadcopter with visible light sensor, field measurement equipment
a GPS receiver with HEPOS system.
Office equipment (printers, scanners, etc)

and soon, in addition (it’s under a procurement procedure funded by the Regional Administration of Kentriki Makedonia). A Hyperspectral Sensor mounted on a multicopter system. This system is expected to provide even greater capabilities and to support basic and applied research in cutting edge scientific areas especially those related to promoting the sustainable development.
